Andrew Jose is a doctoral student pursuing a PhD. in Political Science at the University of Florida. Andrew is majoring in Comparative Politics and minoring in Political Methodology. His research interests include studying protofascism, public choice theory, and various forms of contentious politics, including war, insurgency, social movements, and terrorism.
Before his academic career, Andrew was a freelance journalist based in Doha, Qatar, reporting for The Daily Caller, Western Journal, Jewish News Syndicate, Stacker, and Airways Magazine. He hosted one season of the podcast Strategic Wisdom with Andrew Jose, focused on international relations and U.S. politics. His commentary has appeared in the National Interest, Modern Diplomacy, and the Times of Israel. Andrew also develops video games in his free time using vibe coding. His latest project is Qatar Air Defense Command, a video game simulating the work of the Qatar Emiri Air Defense Forces.
Andrew received his Master of Arts in Security Policy Studies from The George Washington University, with a concentration in United States National Security. He received his Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, where he majored in International Politics with a concentration in security studies. Andrew was a 2024-2025 Junior Fellow with the Middle East Forum, a 2024-2025 Jean Bethke Elshtain Christian Realism Fellow with the Institute for Religion and Democracy's Providence Magazine, and had participated in the 2021 The Academy Fellowship organized by the Heritage Foundation before the organization's drift towards postliberalism.
